Computer types, my e-mail keeps coming back with messages like:

I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

1. it could be the quotation marks

that the quotation marks come back to him as a part of his e-mail report, but indeed, if you're sending these out with quotes around the username or if your mail program is somehow futzing it up like that, that'll kill it too...

2. is there a leading space in your "to" address?

I notice each To: address has a space before the e-mail address:

" [e-mail]"
" caffertyfile"@cnn.com
" president"@whitehouse.gov

User unknown - so it's going to the server and the protocol types in that extra space. While it knows to expect "caffertyfile" it's getting " caffertyfile"...

Could that be it?

4. That's it, I have been cutting these addresses from DU and

pasting them instead of typing, each has a space where there shouldn't be one. Thanks you all!
