Clark Howard On Front Lines Of Hurricane Relief Efforts

The Jones Radio Network's syndicated talker was summoned to the front lines of relief efforts for victims Hurricane Katrina over the weekend in his role as a member of the Georgia State Defense Force. Howard was first dispatched to Dobbins Air Force base to help Katrina survivors who were shipped to New Orleans find shelter in the Atlanta area.

Then he boarded a chartered Delta Airlines jet to New Orleans to help transport another 132 people back to Dobbins. Howard joined the Georgia Defense State Defense Force, a military branch of the state's government, in the days following Sept. 11, 2001.

Clark Howard is a consumer hero and a good Democrat and supports the regular guy and the consumer. He is wonderful. You should check out his books. He's also a self-made multi-millionare who is famously ultra-frugal (that's how he got so rich.)
