Maybe there are deals made in back rooms to make these issues disappear. This is how corrupt, criminal governments operate.

2. There was a rumor earlier on DU that according to a blog belonging

to a credible source.. (or a credible source being quoted on the blog).. that the grand jury investigation should gather some steam next week.

3. I follow many blogs and..

They use to talk about it nonstop, and suddenly all the news just stopped.. I haven't heard anything for what seems like months..

4. Grand jury investigation ongoing, no leaks

Since if anything had been leaked, we would have heard it.

My guess is that every conceivable form of pressure is currently being brought to bear on prosecutor Fitzgerald, his staff, and everyone in his "chain of command" to somehow compromise and cripple the investigation.

If we see a few indictments of underlings and nobodies we will know that those efforts were successful.

If we see indictments of Rove, Libby, or anyone higher we will know that Fitz et al stood their ground.

My money is on the latter scenario.
