Anti-Arnold demo on my street right now!
I live near a major intersection in Berkeley.
Several people on each corner, signs, music, it's a good time.
Lots of support from passing motorists.
I'm heading over to join...

4. Need to air these tapes of Arnie!!
Let's go to the videotape.

Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger has apologized for his behavior toward women, perhaps he wouldn't mind if footage of his alleged groping of a British broadcaster against her will was released.

So far, Carlton Television in London is refusing to show a tape of a December 2000 show, "Celebrity," in which Schwarzenegger grabbed host Melanie Sykes at the waist. Sykes said that when she pushed the bodybuilder away and said, "Get your hands of me - I'm scared," he responded by grabbing her breasts.

"Apparently, there's a problem with a batch of tapes, and the Melanie Sykes thing is one," Carlton spokesman Murray Buesst told our Spencer Morgan.

Sean Walsh, chief spokesman for the California gubernatorial candidate, told us: "I don't even know that these alleged incidents took place."

Stay tuned.

6. Bay area news reporting mixed, Code Pink rocks!
It's weird - I can't figure out if he's getting a pass on this or not...

Last night, Fox News (10PM CH-2 in the Bay Area) seemed to ream his ass. They spent 15 minutes covering the groping and Hitler stuff. These guys rarely give 15 minutes to freaking anything. Bush's woes with the Wilson affair was 43 minutes into the show.

But this evening, CH-3 NBC 6PM seemed to give him a pass. They talked about it, sluffed it off. Mentioned Move-on's ad, and associated them with supporting Clinton's bj. How they can tie the two together is beyond me - Monica was a consentual trist, and Arnold appears to have serious issues with how to treat women. But I guess the press can't put those together.

OK, now it's 6:30 and the same channel is hammering the story again.

The good news is that Code Pink is all over the place tonight doing demonstrations at bus stations, the Federal Building in SF, etc. Hopefully our Pink Ladies will get the word out.

Peace
