New Jersey Dems again-Corzine under investigation
http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/09/01/corzine.ethics.ap/index.html

First Toricelli and the Governor. Now Corzine? I had always liked Corzine and thought of him as a good progressive Senator..hopefully these things are untrue and he wins his run for governor.

1. Oh please
One of the richest men in America bought his girlfriend a house.

They're piggy-backing Torricelli's corruption to deny Corzine the state house, primarily because their guy is a complete shitbird and unelectable, and was already spanked once in a gubernatorial bid.

I'm not a huge fan of Mr. Goldman Sachs, but this is a joke, especially given the shenanigans that the GOP House leadership has been pulling for years.

2. Well I hope you are right!
As far as wealthy politicians go, it seems to me that he is one of the more progressive ones.

3. Nobody in NJ is surprised by corruption unfortunately
Forrester gives and takes just as much money, if not more, than Corzine or any other major political figure. Since they are both tainted with this Corzine simply needs to point out to my fellow New Jerseyans how close Corzine is with BushCo. Bush's approbval here is in the low 30's, before Katrina, tie Forrester to him and Corzine is even more of a lock than he already is.

I'm personally much more interested in who Corzine will pick as his replacement.
