I've heard bits and snips of the lyrics over the past month, but hearing the song tonight in its entirety just blew me away. Think what you will about the beat, the music, etc., the lyrics are killer -- even mentioning Halliburton and Brown & Root.

You call yourself a Christian
I think that you're a hypocrit
You say you are a patriot
I think that you're a crock of shit

Listen I love gasoline
I drink it every day
But it's getting very pricey
And who is gonna pay?

How come you're so wrong
My sweet Neo-Con?

It's liberty for all
Cause democracy's our style
Unless you are against us
Then it's prison without trial

But one thing that is certain
Life is good at Halliburton
If you're really so astute
You should invest in Brown & Root

How come you're so wrong
My sweet Neo-Con?
If you turn out right
I'll eat my hat tonight

Life's getting very scary
Yes I'm frightened out my wits
There's bombers in my bedroom
Yeah, it's givin' me the shits

We must have loads more bases
To protect us from our foes
Who needs these foolish friendships
We're going it alone

How come you're so wrong
My sweet Neo-Con?
Where's our money gone?
In the Pentagon

Yeah, well, well, well
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Neo-Con!

2. It won't get airplay because of the "profanity"
But I'm sure AAR will still play it with bleeps.

5. Probably about 15% of the songs played on the radio have profanity
Recent Rock/Rap at least. Censored of course.

6. Nice
Are they going to have a new album or just this song is new? Jagger was asked if this was about Bush and I think he said it wasn't about him directley. I think the song can be about all of them. Not just Bush. Cheney and the whole bunch who use the Christianity card to hide their terrorism.

Another great song is "Laugh, I Nearly Died." Jagger is at his best on that one.

11. Like very fine and mature single malt Scotch whiskey
They did a very good job with it. I am impressed.

They have matured like a very fine single malt scotch. There is an effortless confidence and grace. At heart it is edgy and complex but the impression is smooth and sublime.
