1. sadly, they ARE getting away with it--the comments of the rw's on my board
are almost beyond belief in their stupidity and fawning over the boyking, their god.

4. Sad but true
Everything they do is that. The only thing they care about is making money. Why else did Halliburton "win" a contract so fast to rebuild New Orleans? I believe they "won" it like on 9/5 or something like that? It was very close after the storm hit. So disgusting. They have to use the media to their advantage to save their asses. I don't have any hope anymore about justice.

9. Halliburton had actually won a contract with the Navy some time ago
for similar and anticipated activities. They just activated the contract. I heard that on Franken today. Don't remember who he was interviewing that said that, but it is one of his regulars that clarified that. Halliburton actually did bid on that contract and won it.

The worst part is Halliburton will subcontract it out because it's not exactly what they do as a general rule. So, they will get the adminstration money and pay someone else less to do the job.

7. Yup. and they WILL get away with it.
They are already saying things like "...playing the 'race card'..." up here in Michigan (regarding Sharpton and Jackson in NOLA).

There is no problem that cannot be solved with an expensive banner or backdrop. Even the president is a prop.

16. Very good point
If you look at this administration, you realize that Cheney and Rove never could have gotten where they were if they didn't have a friendly redneck in the front, doing photo ops to get elected. Bush got them into office, Cheney provides the corporate clout, and Rove is the brains.

17. adding firefighting props
to his photo tour. According to a Salt Lake Tribune article, 1000 highly trained firefighters have been sent to the area not to help save lives but to pass out pr flyers for FEMA. For 50 "lucky" firefighters their first assignment was to stand by shrub's side while he tours the devastated areas. What a shameful waste of time for these firefighters - background fodder for Bush's publicity photos. (note to photographer, Bush doesn't have a good side)

They couldn't care less about these people. Someday Roves number is going to be called. His karma will not be kind.

Time is of the essence. The longer they are in charge, the more harm they do.

Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 02:07 AM by LaPera
makes it work...And they will get away with it...

The "blame game" is what they are relying on, the lies, over & over will get them through, pointing the finger elsewhere!!! (Yet insisting... "No time to point fingers"). Is that their genius?

And people will slowly begin to believe! Goebbels; "It ALWAYS works"!

Again, the lies will overwhelm, Hannity, O'Reily, Limbaugh, etc...pounding & pounding away 24/7.

Count on it!
