Are the Mayor of NO and the Gove of LA responsible for Miss also?
They're having the same problems in Mississippi with lack of help from FEMA. Several mayors, sheriffs, and police chiefs have been raising hell over there for days. Joe Scarborough said tonight he saw his first FEMA official in several days.

Why didn't they use school buses to evacuate people? Why did they let so many stay behind? Why are they not catching hell from the right wing media for that? Could it be they have a repuke governor who's lips are super glued to Bush's asshole?

The problems in New Orleans are the same as those in Mississippi. The only difference is that Mississippi didn't have a city of 1.5 million people, many of whom were were trapped by a flood. If Mississippi had such a city, you would have seen an even worse disaster since the winds there were 40 mph stronger.

Mississippi was no more prepared than Louisiana. They just didn't have this wonderful city. They also didn't have Democrats in charge.

1. Mississippi had a small enough population to get everyone out
and still left their poor there to take the brunt. It's not as though Haley Bad Hair rolled out all the school busses.

2. They didn't have the levees which makes the difference
Their GOP governor is sealed to W's posterior. As a note, I've seen very few blacks in the pics of Mississippi. It's been all whites.

3. The media has only been showing those on the beach
Go back a couple of miles, and you will find plenty of blacks and poor whites that are dead or displaced. Mississippi will have several thousand dead when the bodies are counted.

6. Exactly
Trent Lott has been complaining about the exact same things Blanco and Nagin complained about. The difference is, Barbour isn't making a stink about the lack of support and 10,000 people didn't drown.

9. That's the way it's looking like the spin is going
Has the NG even arrived in all the places hit in Miss yet?

I just heard that some in my old hometown of Laurel that wasn't really hit too bad haven't seen anyone yet.--Although the massive damage is confined to the far southern stretch--it needs to be remembered that a great swath of the state was hit by a powerful hurricane, and some of these places aren't being shown at all.

10. If the buses had filled with people and left the
city, they couldn't get back to transport more because the traffic was all one way leading out of the city. It was better to transport them to the superdome and go back for more. Someone mentioned this on another blog. I hadn't thought of it before.

Alls i know for certain is that the delay for help came way too late. I am not privy to all the other facts in the other states.
