FEMA's latest screw-up
Report on CNN this morning:

FEMA called Charleston, South Carolina authorities and told them to expect a plane with about 100 evacuees needing medical attention. They rushed all necessary vehicles and personnel to the airport. The plane never arrived.

Why?

Because it went to Charleston, West Virginia.

I've known for days that planes were coming to Charleston WV. It was on the local news.

Link added:

Story floating around since Sunday that victims were coming here. WV Nt'l guard is flying in and out. Some have already arrived.

3. If this weren't about ...
... trying to bring relief to the suffering, it would be funny. Unfortunately the idiots at FEMA have heightened and prolonged human suffering; I can't even manage a weak smile.

4. You got that right
Not only the people involved, but goddamn!, what a waste of state resources. Apparently the Feds don't understand that states don't have unlimited resources

10. Well, "they" sure didn't understand ...
...that New Orleans (and other cities) did NOT have the $$ or human resources to evacuate hundreds of thousands of the poor to SAFETY. This, while the rest of the country understands that many big cities are struggling to provide basic city services ... Why doesn't the FEDERAL government have a grasp of any of the facts?

If not now when?
How many more lives must be put at risk before it is time to point fingers?

She should have known when Mike asked for the mayor of Charleston he meant WV.

Fire her now.
