We can't accept International aid !
If we accept help from other countries. How will Bectel, Carlyle, Brown and Root , and Halliburton make any money from the disaster in New Orleans. C'mon people, same players different field.

1. Probably has the same kinds of strings attached as we attach to our "aid"
Hey, I'm just sayin. I can see countries demanding rights to oil refinery capacity as a condition of their billions of dollars in aid. Oh god, wouldn't that be...uh...*sigh*

How're y'all feeling about being an "American" these days?

2. no aid
If we accept international aid, those same countries might in the future question why we spend so much for antisocial purposes, neglect our own country's infrastructure and ignore our poor.

3. How can we demonize the UN when they'll be asked to
coordinate international aid?

4. If we accept aid from foreign governments, those governments
might object in the future when we put our traditional strings on aid we offer to them.

"We made no conditions when we offered aid after Katrina; why do you insist that Halliburton control the aid you are giving us?"
