DU'ers STOP the baseless allegations declaring Arnold has "won"
Edited on Fri Oct-03-03 11:56 PM by shance
If you have card-carrying, sure fire proof, then bring it on. If you dont, then consider the tremendous, potential damage you are doing.

By spreading that the 'sky has fallen', you are not helping the situation, only worsening it.

It is counter-productive, defeatist, enabling and potentially ensuring the Republicans a victory.

Please think before you speak.

With that said, lets keep in mind the facts.

Fact one: the more Dems that show up at the polls, the more difficult it becomes and the more numbers they have to ELIMINATE in order to ensure a winning margin. It makes it tougher for them to discount the votes, rig the vote count and initiate fraudulent activity.

Fact 2: It is MORE than clear Schwartzeneggers candidacy is in pergatory right now. These accusations, regardless of the threads, have no other choice but to cripple his candidacy, if not totally blow it for him. The women with potential legal action, the Nazi issues, and now perhaps even more critical news is about to unfold. More will be revealed. DONT throw the baby out with the bath water.

Fact 3: Diebold is also under tight scrutiny right now, I can only imagine With that said, we need to be aware of each and every county that is equipped with those machines and be on them like flies on you know what.

Fact 4: We must continue to do our part and SUIT UP AND SHOW UP, march right in to the voter booths, and do exactly what they DONT want us to do which is to show up to the polls.

Why do you think Arnold has been allowed front and center time to say HE IS READY TO TAKE OFFICE. If that is not the most arrogant, insane, power-grabbing response, i dont know what is. I also know it is a highly calculated move to discourage us from hitting the polls.

Fact 4: The more information we have, the more power we have to stop it, and thanks to individuals like Bev Harris and the rest, we wouldnt even be this awake. Lets keep the information flowing, do what we need to do, and not make predictions, but work towards legislating a voter-verified paper trail.

Fact 5: The more put our energy to informing individuals about the problems, who are presently uninformed, the better.

Thats it. KEEP THE FAITH everyone.

1. YES!!!! Stop it
I agree 100 percent. I'll be calling, handing out flyers, etc. I still believe we may defeat this.

3. Lemme see
Women are probably going to have a HUGE turnout...for the sole purpose of voting against him.
Latinos lean heavily towards Gray/Bustamente. I think turnout is going to also be HUGE for that group because a lot of the are still angry over proposition 187.
I think that a lot of blacks, seniors, unionists and GLBTs are going to turn out because of "bigger" picture type issues.

5. Folks just saying scandal will not chg many votes- but I agree -keep faith
Seems the media has convince folks that they are tired of scandal - indeed CNN (Brown) noted the Detroit Free Press had only 2 emails/letters on the CIA scandal - and I expect Arnold's will generate the same non-response.

7. Election is a few days away...
and the doomsayers here in DU (perhaps the same ones that want more rules and ORDER) have frequently posted bizarre threads about ARNY and not phrasing their postings as CA re-call in the headline

WHY is that...

People are working hard in CA to defeat a tragedy to democracy and the tone is more...
Rush is an Addict...show mercy
Is Arny courting PC-ism
What do the Freepers think about Wilson
etc etc

AT the same time...let's defeat Bush
tisk tisk

8. There may be a fix HOWEVER, that is ALL the more reason to vote.
If they win legitimately, then we truly have no recourse.
