My son has been found and is okay.

I know I shouldn't make "me" posts in this forum, but this is where most people are that know that I was trying to locate my son in New Orleans, so I hope that the mods will be indulgent.

I just want to thank everyone here for the support that I have been given since Katrina hit New Orleans. My son, who has been a street person for some years, has been located and evacuated, is with a mentor, and receiving the help and care that he needs. I have just finished speaking with him and the person who is caring for him. They are safe and well - of course completely discombobulated because of the storm, and my son is in a very fragile condition and is probably not going to live long, but they are well for now - and that's all any of us can hope for, isn't it?

So thank you for all of those who have sent me private messages of cheer and hope, and all of those who prayed and sent good vibes. I will be answering all those PMs individually, but as you can imagine, I am so emotionally whacked right now that it's all I can do to make this post.
