Proof (?) *'s Katrina briefing photo is phone-y?
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 06:21 PM by Mabus
Here's a picture of * in a teleconference over Iraq.

Here's him at a teleconference during the Katrina briefing

Here's him on a telephone call after the tsunami

The difference? In the first photo there is one phone (not the usual four phones in the rest of the pictures) that appears to be plugged in and it is different than the other four phones in the room (that don't seem to move).

So, it looks like the only time he's allowed near a working phone is when it involves Iraq.

What do the rest of you think?

1. people argued the point before...
and at the time we were looking at picture number 2 in you set of three.

I argued that most conference room like that at government sites have the phone line go to the center of the table and then down.

As such, you won't be able to see it in pic 2

But now I agree. That phone isn't plugged in.

3. I can't believe he has pictures of himself on his briefing room walls!
I know he's a narcissist, but DAMN! It's his briefing room -- theoretically his day-to-day workspace! I can't think any ANYONE I've ever known that plastered their own workspace with pictures of themselves.

That just seems...crazy, nutz, insane.

7. Uh-huh. And isn't this in Crawford? Visitors would be rare.

It's not as if the decor needed to impress anyone. Unless he needs a visual reminder of what he is supposed to be doing. In which case, can we photoshop a picture of him resigning and put it up on that wall?

Yep, Barb's evil spawn is a flaming narcissist. No doubt.

5. also has the SEAL on the damn phone!
Is there anything that doesn't have the stupid seal stuck on it? Are they unsure of where they are?

8. Well, it means it's HIS, you know.
"No one touches my stuff! See, it's got the SEAL on it! MY guitar! MY phone! MY jacket! MY socks! MY Depends!"

Remember, he did give socks to Lance Armstrong and the other bike riders that day at the pig farm. Socks with the SEAL on them, of all things!!

10. For those who have never been in a teleconference...
It all goes through the unit connected to the TV. No Phones, see the funny shaped microphones on the table. That is all he needs to talk...

11. I can admit a mistake, although
I haven't been involved with teleconferencing before but I did notice the difference in the pictures. Thanks for explaining that. It is one of the reasons I asked rather than stating it definitively.

Although, it does make it look like the tsunami "call" was a photo-op. I have no doubt a call was made but I think the photo was staged.

12. Phone system is a non-starter, but I do find all those pics of himself
presidentin'. Maybe they are there as a reminder of what he's supposed to be doing. Helps keep him on task.

13. It's worse,, 2 and 3 are STOCK PHOTOs of * looking important
First the third photo "after the tsunami"

He is in a room ALONE with no papers on the table, using a phone that is not connected. WHO knows when they dressed him up for this STOCK photo.

OK lets look at the number two. If you blow up the tv of the weatherman, what you see below the hurricane are land masses that look like the Bahamas. To the left is a land mass that looks like Florida.

Question is "When and Which" hurricane was this photo shot for. One of the 2004 canes that hit Florida,,, could well be....
