Does anyone see Bush and Cheney serving out full terms?
The PNAC/Saudi agenda simply cannot be moved forward with this team. A wag-the-dog attack now will have an effect, at best, measured in months. Not nearly enough to lead what it will take to invade Iran.

I don't think they can tread-water (sorry) for 3 1/2 years, so I predict Cheney will step down and Bush will fade into the background. Who will front? Giuliani? Guesses?

With a republican Congress, Senate, Supreme Court, Republican owned ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES, being installed every day, all across the country. Along with the mostly do nothing spineless democrats paving the way for the republicans!

AND THE REPUBLICAN OWNED CORPORATE MEDIA, whom all but a few do whatever The WH and Rove dictate!!!

Absolutely, positively!

Bush and Cheney will be there in Jan 2009 to turn out the lights!!!!

2. Dennis Hastert is in line after the president and vice president.
Unless Cheney resigns and craphead appoints Guiliani VP and then resigns, it won't happen. Of course, in that scenario, craphead might decide to promote Mike Brown, who he continues to defend.

:scared:

3. I hope they don't...

I don't know what to think. We have to get back either the House or Senate in '06, or I think we are really screwed as far as impeachment goes.

Short of that, I think only massive massive protests over a long period of time will maybe be the only thing that can have much influence.

21. There must be massive demonstrations.
I see that as the only way to end this horror in our country. Or maybe we could add something to the kool aid they are all drinking?

4. According to Charlie Rangel Rumsfeld is already running the
country, which may be the reason, the Katrina response was such a miserable failure. He's got to go too.

unless cheney gets too sick to stay, i think both will serve out their terms. lets face it only one vp and one president in our history failed to serve out their terms (without dying in office that is)

13. Perhaps I wasn't clear...They need new window dressing...
I'm saying Cheney will "step down" for health reasons so that a new front man/woman can be created.

15. I completely agree. I figured this would happen even before Katrina.
But who they'll front? Dunno. Jeb is no longer an option, junior has poisened the well for him. Guiliani? Doubtful. Hardly anybody still buys him as a hero. I think. Gonna have to be some fairly little-known yet quite nasty and fully controlled photogenic type, like Roberts.

17. You are so right
David Brooks was pushing change, praising Rudy and saying he
held the line after 9-11, could easily see Cheney retiring to
St. Michaels.

serve their full terms. Pleasantly surprised, elated even, but surprised just the same.

18. How do they get stopped?
As long as the media supports them and the military shoots at "the angry mob" for them, they win. That's how it's done in evil regimes.

23. I think they're done...
...Giuliani will finnish the term. It'll start happening soon...Cheney has already purchased his retirement home. The thugs need to get a "positive image" to head the party going into the 06 midterm elections.

This it how it will happen:
1. Cheney leaves for "health reasons"
2. Giuliani replaces Cheney.
3. Bush flounders for a couple of months...then resigns in disgrace.
4. Giuliani takes over...media runs 9/11 Giuliani images 24/7...talks nonstop about what a strong leader he is for our troubled times. Giuliani pardons Bushco because we need to look to "the future" and not become bogged down in the past. The DLCers praise Giuliani for his leadership. Giuliani appoints Lieberman VP in a gesture of unity.
5. America stays fucked.

Except I replace 3. with:

3. Bush announces Giuliani will be an equal partner for the next 3 years...
