Bush's War in Iraq : The Definition of Failure
Six months after the war, George W Bush is out on the hustings still trying to convince the American people he did the right thing by going to war. Unfortunately for him, the polls are going in the opposite direction. The latest polls indicate that more than 50% of the people do not think it was "worth" it.

Of course, the contortions that Dubya is going through now could have been prevented if he had gotten consensus from our Allies and from the American people before he arrogantly marched into Iraq. Lest we forget, millions of people marched against the war in this country. They were ignominiously marched into "free-speech" zones and ignored.

Now for the umpteenth time, Bush and his accomplices are changing the reasons for invading the sovereign nation of Iraq. Saddam was working on the ideas of getting the weapons and there is no doubt he would have used them on us. No doubt. And he is asking America for an arm and a leg to pay for his misadventure. Congress, knowing it is money down a rat hole, nevertheless approves his prodigal requests because it is to 'protect our troops". Is there no end?

By every definition, this is a great failure. They say we should focus more on the "positives". We have just recently been informed that all the schools and all the hospitals in Iraq are now open. But they don't tell us how many were open before the invasion. Are we back to square one?

1. I like the term "miserable failure"
because it has the same initials as another term so fitting for chimpy's team.
