1. LOL
If there were quotation marks, you could say it was a quote from Bush. However...

2. Sometimes we laugh because it's funny, other times because it's true...
This time it's both.

4. In "Stranger In A Strange Land"
Mike determines that man is the animal that laughs. Man laughs when it hurts too much to cry. There is pain for someone at the heart of humour.

Grok it?

7. I beg to differ. Sky doesn't even come close to Faux.
Faux is pretty much in a league all it's own. Regardless, as everyone here can agree, it's at once funny, sad, and most importantly, TRUE.

9. Uh, right.
Sky News is in fact FAUX's sister station in the UK. Did you not know that? They're both owned by Murdoch, and they each take live feed from the other when something important is happening on the opposite side of the pond.

And I know their caption was TRUE. But it wasn't intentional, hence my use of the word 'inadvertent'.

Geesh, go correct someone who needs correcting. Visit FR or something, work it out of your system.

After living in the UK for several years, and currently receiving Sky via satellite in BOTH my homes in Canada and France, not to mention the fact that I work in media and have a degree in Communications, I'm so grateful you would take the time to inform me that Sky was owned by Murdoch, and that they take their feed from Faux.

Perhaps what I was likely trying to say (for the benefit of simpletons such as yourself), was that unlike Faux, Sky - no matter how one perceives it - is not, cannot, and will never be - a mouthpiece for the current government in the UK. If you know anything about UK politics (which you obviously don't), and/or UK media, it's impossible BY DESIGN.

Piss off. And while you're at it, check out Sky's market share - another area that puts it in a different *league* (for lack of a better term) than Faux.

13. All I said was Sky is FAUX's sister station in the UK
How the hell do you read that as a comparison of Sky to FAUX? Where do I say anything about Sky being a government mouthpiece??

And by the way, I lived in the UK for several years myself, so don't presume to give me an education when it's obvious you can't even read without taking things out of context.

Piss off yourself.

5. At the risk of sounding naive... is this for real?
Is this a photo shopped image? I sure as heck hope not.

14. ACTUALLY.....
I DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE HAS POINTED IT OUT, BUT IT APPEARS TO ME THAT WHAT IS MISSING IS THE QUOTATION MARKS...AS IN BUSH IS MAKING THE STATEMENT ABOUT KATRINA, RATHER THAN THE PRESS MAKING THE STATEMENT ABOUT BUSH.

OF COURSE, THE ABOVE MAY BE TRUE, BUT THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING WHENTHEY LEFT THE MARKS OUT.

I LEAVE IT FOR YOU, DU, TO DECIDE!

12. I love it.
Quotation marks would have ruined it. (This is why we should pay attention to punctuation.) :)
