CBS News hacked Dennis K posted up front
Edited on Sat Oct-04-03 12:23 PM by God_bush_n_cheney
CBS) The struggling presidential campaign of Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich got a brief boost from an unidentified hacker Friday when a pro-Kucinich advertisement took over CBSNews.com.

The Kucinich campaign denied involvement.

At around 9:30 a.m. a page bearing the Kucinich campaign logo appeared in place of the CBSNews.com homepage.

The screen automatically shifted to a page playing a 30-minute video called "This Is The Moment," in which the liberal congressman — aided by the likes of actor Ed Asner — outlines his philosophy

While I generally do not condone this type of action...in this case I applaud the perps.

3. Kucinich just got the hacker vote!
I know Dennis would never endorse this kind of behavior, but I guess it's sort of funny too. :)

8. I don't
Frankly it's wrong to hack into web sites and it does discredit the Kuchinich campaign.

9. On the other hand...
... this may set a record for the cheapest network "airtime" ever for a political ad.

Does anyone know if the problem is related to CBS hosting their Web site on a server running the bug-prone, security-compromised Windows OS?

11. POWER TO THE PEOPLE. THIS IS GREAT
DENNIS STANDS UP TO SPECIAL INTERESTS (LIKE THE PEOPLE WHO OWN CBS NEWS). SO CBS GETS ITS REVENGE BY TRYING TO SILENCE THE TRUTH THAT DENNIS IS THE BEST CANDIDATE. BUT I GUESS THEY CAN'T SILENCE ALL THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE TRUTH. WHOEVER DID IT IS STANDING UP FOR TRUTH, HONOR AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

I don't support the action, and I don't think it will benefit us in the long run. But, after months of invisibility when it comes to mainstream media, Kucinich supporters have to stop a moment for a broad grin.
