I have been trying to get on DU for over 1/2

at the top of the main news page, you'll discover that DU is fixing server upgrading problems.

Combined with the heavy traffic over New Orleans, it sometimes causes outages.

There is one in a Virginia suburb of DC which is down.
Others are working a low capacity. That means internet traffic needs to re-route itself and usually leads to slow-downs.
