Don't you understand? We don't have until 2008.
If this shit is still going on in two years this world will quickly become a big flamy ball of nuclear war.

I don't want that to happen.

The whole system is bad, they all have to go to jail, or they'll kill us all, one way or another.

Please you have to understand that Bushco CAN go down, it is in the realm of possibilty.

The world wants him gone, atleast 60% of the nation wants him gone.

It is time to Impeach, Indict, Imprison.

1. I understand.
I think most of us do.

The big question is: what do we do about it?

5. I hear ya, Melodybe
We can't wait another minute IMHO. I wish i had some magic words/works that would wake people up to this fact, but sadly nothing seems to work. I keep hearing the republican party will fall apart etc. That never seems to happen. I keep hearing the media is waking up, but it seems to be waking up slower than the slowest turtle if at all. I keep hearing "America will not stand for that," but they always seem to. We should all be out in the streets in mass protests, but it never seems to happen. but enough of my pessimism.

6. I agree
Being a non Us citizen I can only advice from far far away:

Go on the street.
Lots of you.
Show your opinion.
Show that every single one of you counts.
At one point one can't ignore you anymore.
No violence.
Cause certainly they'll go for the Berlusconi way and trying to stirr uop violence and present you like a bunch of criminals.
But go out on the street.
Even before September 24.
NOLA is now.

21. We need more than petitions - Civil Disobedience - Build Bushville, DC
On 9/11 survivors of Katrina will perform an act of NONVIOLENT Civil Disobedience by setting up camp on the Washington, DC Mall.

Bushville, DC will remain as long as it takes to get answers and change.

Visit www.bushville.org and spread the word.

We will camp on Bush's doorstep and make him face us every day until he is driven from power.

Push this website hard, please. Help make history.

Email a plug for www.bushville.org to 10 of your friends.

then there's only one human recourse left to save the planet, and I'm not allowed to say what that is, or even what I'd like to be able to do about it.

9. Start by taking back the House and Senate
If he were to lose control of those things and impeachment were brought up before he named a CJ to the Supreme Court we may have a chance. I believe it is the CJ that hears out impeachment trials. The House starts them and the Senate hears the trial. If he is constantly called back into the House and Senate for hearings and testimony and not allowed to give policy speeches, or foreign country travel, or a five week vacation, he will crack. He will not be able to get away and take what I believe are needed vacations for his overloaded mind. People will see him for the weakling that he is. He will not have Dick Cheney and Karl Rove at his side or in the audience running cover for him. He will not answer only one question from each person and depart after 3-5 minutes like he does now. He had a hard time holding up to an hour and a half of scripted questions in debates with John Kerry, lets see him ad lib for 3 hours. He had a hard time in the debates and they were not allowed to address the other person in their responses, make it all about him for 3 hours, under oath, open to the public, without Dick there, he will crack. Do this to him day after day, all the missed nap times and scheduled exercise times he will crack. From 8 until 5 every day for a week, with a one hour lunch and piss break at noon, he will crack. We need the House and Senate back!!!!

10. How To Get Them Out
The Congress and Judiciary have the legal apparatus to impeach these people.

They never will. Because they are in the same camp, of the same ilk. I don't mean political party -- those are just two sides of the same ruling institutions. I mean every elected Federal politician got into office via campaign cash given by wealthy individuals and by corporations. Hired by the wealthy and big business, not by we the people.

Which means they work for those donors, not we the people. Representative democracy has been sold to the highest bidder.

So we must now turn to the extra-legal means of forcing their removal. Remember, our American Revolution was extra-legal.

When a significant portion of the people of this country stop paying taxes, stop going to work, stop participating in this sham democracy, the Congress and Judiciary will get back to doing their oversight jobs if only to save their individual jobs.

Just like truck drivers parking their big rigs on the freeway to protest high gas prices, when huge numbers of people take to streets and refuse to move until Bush and his whole neo-con crew go, we will see results.

When you get poor service from someone, you ask to see their supervisor, right? You go over their head, to someone with authority over them.

Who has authority over these clowns in the White House?

Their campaign donors -- the wealthy class and big corporations. Give these donors the willies by shutting down commerce, shutting down whole cities, all across the nation, and they will arrange for Dubya and Friends to go right pronto. They will protect their interests above Dubya in a heartbeat.

The American situation is going to come to general strikes and massive protests and the complete disrupt on of business as usual. That's when our government will return to governing, as opposed to the outright piracy they currently pursue.

We the people have to step out into the street and say "NO!"

Ben Franklin -- "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately."

11. I understand, but...
Here's a ?
Most of Bushco has had extraordinary power from 1980 or so. How much longer will it last?
I read somewhere the GW senior "regretted that George became president before Jeb." Now I take this to mean that he knew his son George was the idiot that he is and knew he would screw it up for Jeb; thus throwing a major wrench in the plans of Bushanomics (I think Reaganomics was wrongly named)
Bush screwed up BIG with NO and I doubt there will be any recovery from these mistakes, no matter how it's spun. So I ask do we worry about impeachment or do we focus on changing the way we look at the system and what we do about it? It's time that sheeple stop freaking out at the current news and starts to look at the future.
2008 might be to late if we don't look beyond the next 4 years. It's what we do now to help 2050 that matters, not just what we do to help 2008-2012.

15. Right. 7 political generations is just about 2050.
Like the Native American question, how will it affect the seventh generation. Let's say that a political generation is six years (a senator's term, three representative's terms). 6x7 = 42 (oOoo!). 2005 + 42 is 2047, just about the 2050 you cite. Anyway, the point is, keep the pressure on. It will help in 2005, 2006, 2008, and beyond.

13. Floodgate. Keep the pressure on.
Who knows if it will get anywhere, but at least it will constrain them, limit their options. And it might succeed.

Keep listing the scandals to all who might be persuadable.

* The corruption of Tom Delay.
* Outing CIA agents.
* Non-existent WMD.

...

I don't have to tell you the list.

Keep exposing, squeezing, hammering, eschewing obfuscation, speaking truth to power, asking them the awkward questions. You know what to do, you are probably already doing it. They fear the light and only rarely come out. Even that brave man who told Cheney to attempt anatomically difficult feats of auto-erotic stimulation did his part, eloquently, too!

The last elections were the most important in US history. It's now too late for the ballot box for the most part, irreparable damage is inevitable (such as the courts). All we really have is Fitz. now.
