The most corrupt administration since US Grant
The looting of the US Treasury in the name of rebuilding Iraq make the Teapot Dome scandal of Warren Harding look like a stolen hamburger. It was a trumphed up war to begin with. We were in danger of an Iraqi nuke-u-lar mushroom. Iraqi drones were going to bomb Boise, Idaho. The entire Middle East was going to come under a sarin gas cloud. Even now, the Bushies won't admit there was nothing there. They want 600,000,000 dollars to continue looking for weapons that Rummy and Cheney knew exactly where they were located. Rummy and Cheney must have been using Yahoo maps.
Today, Atrios has a thread about the US occupation force wanting to let a $20 million contract to purchase pistols and AK, after they confiscated the entire stockpile of the Iraqi Army. Bremer wants to spend 1.5 billion dollars to train Iraqi police, when France and Germany have volunteered to do it free, and Iraqis have said they can do it in Iraq for a fraction of the cost.
Bechtel and Haliburton have gotten billion dollar NO BID contracts. The whole thing boggles the mind. The US can't afford health care for all its citizens, almost all of the states are cutting services because of failing revenues, and the Bushies want to spend EIGHTY SEVEN billion dollars to repair damage to a country they themselves did! Lewis Carrol would be ashamed to write such a twisted story.
Kafka would love it!
And the beltway whores attend their diner parties, telling themselves just how great the American press corps is. Shit house mouse!

1. And in Congress when Byrd or Kennedy bring up the contracts
Republicans respond with attacks about the Democrats' patriotism but don't defend the contracts... I wonder why?
But what is worse is that the press has not made a real stink out of this.

2. this is complete nonsense
this is not the most corrupt administration since grant.

corporate cronies in grant's time could have only dreamt of the astounding freedom to loot that bush's cronies have.

this is the most corrupt administration EVER.

where grant was naive and oblivious, bush has elevated corruption to a political philosophy. he completely BELIEVES that looting the public treasury, taking money from the people and giving it to his rich buddies and destroying the government's ability to provide for the people is actually the right thing to do for america.

cronies in grant's time had to hide things from grant, which was easy enough. today, bush comes to his cronies in pursuit of campaign cash. the cronies have to fight off the lootgiver with a stick.

4. thanks
I clicked on this thread to add sentiments similar to yours, but you did it better than I might of.

Whether or not we can agree that Bus* and Co is worse than Grant or Harding, the orignal post here IS a classic and it is shameful that so little attention is paid to the outrageoius greed displayed by these crooks.

7. what you described is the tip of the iceberg...
Those are just what is getting through to the press, and out to us.

You can add the electronic voting machines; ANWR; weapons sales to what may well be our future enemies; the break down in communication between us and Russia, (as well as the rest of the world); the buying of the CA governorship; oh crap...I'm just getting too disgusted.

Patriot Acts I & II; unwarranted searches and seizures on the most miniscule of "evidence"; FBI checks at libraries; unwarranted access to health and finacial information; wiretaps and illegal tapping into private computers;...the list is nearly endless.

We are reaching critical mass. It will not be too long before even the RWer's will have to see light, NO ONE can be so stupid as to NOT SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING!

I loathe these SOB's as much as any group of people, whether nazi's, KKK, black supremacists, skinheads, gangs, any type of fanatic or zealot; they are no better than dust mixed with dog crap, and they need to be sent back to that hell they call the GOP, tarred and feathered, on a rail, over flaming oil!
:grr: :nuke:

Damn, I haven't felt this good in weeks! Nothing like a good rant to warm the blood!

I'm gonna go out and find a few RWer's and give 'em hell~!

Later!
