I hereby coin the term "BUSH MENTALITY"
Person or persons who state a fact as "truth", but when either shown proof that said "fact" is a lie, or when veracity of said "fact" is brought into question, said person will either become annoyed, will continue to espouse the same lie, or (in cases) will further escalate the lie, shrugging proof that said "fact" is a lie.

It's evident that this syndrome is spreading well beyond politics into basic facets of daily life (buyer on Ebay who "insists" that I received his payment when he obviously has no proof that I ever did...but CONTINUES to insist that he's right, for example).

2. Unfortunately, you are describing "human mentality".
Bush and his supporters just have it worse than most, and are in a position where it does damage to the country.

5. is based on "Faith"
All anyone has to do is remain firm, don't "give-up", keep on believing, never change nor adapt, exclude anything that pollutes what you're committed to, keep contrary thoughts and feelings out, narrow, narrow, narrow (focus) everything on a certain discrete point, put ALL of your energy into this point and keep it up, hold on long enough, and "god" will reward you by making it "True" . . . . To change or adapt is a sin.

The basic assumption is that God responds to what you want, some god huh, 499 affirmations and "No deal", 500 affirmations and bingo, your dreams are fulfilled.
