New AP-Ipsos Poll: Bush Approval 39% (THE BOTTOM IS FALLING OUT!)
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 10:37 AM by Beetwasher
These numbers are buried in an AP story, halfway through. Imagine that. This story blows actually. It's poorly written w/ lots of data missing. For instance, his disapproval numbers (in general), his approval #'s for handling the Hurricane, etc.

In Poll, Most Say Abandon Flooded Areas (My Comment: WTF is this lead all about????)

--snip--

The nation's pessimism after Katrina is reflected in the two-thirds, 65 percent, who say the country is headed down the wrong track — compared with 59 percent who said that last month.

--snip--

President Bush's job approval was at 39 percent, the first time it has dipped below 40 percent since AP-Ipsos began measuring public approval of Bush in December 2003.

--snip--

Just over half, 52 percent, disapprove of Bush's handling of hurricane relief.

--snip--

The poll of 1,002 adults was conducted by Ipsos, an international polling firm, from Sept. 6-8 and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

1. I guess 39% feel that an AWOV (away on vacation)
President during a national disaster is acceptable. Idiots.

12. The good news is
We've broken the 40% barrier. It's downhill from here. Took 450 years, but by god, the US is headed toward fulfilling its promise of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all."

3. Too bad it has taken this long. If the facts are made public...
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 10:48 AM by wake.up.america
the polls should read 10 per cent approval for the Manchimp.

If the facts do get out and he is still over 30 I give up on America.

Karen Hughes as chief coordinator of lies?

That is like putting a bull elephant in charge of a china shop.

FREEPERS . BUSH IS GOING DOwN. The REST OF THE WORLD HATES HIS GUTS.

8. So what???
Bush* is not running for reelection. Republicans poll badly also but so do the Democrats. Unless there is a difference between the Parties that is seen by all we will continue to be under Republican rule. Bush* doesn't control anything anyway. He is only a puppet, a face in front of the cameras. Republicans control all things and unless Democrats start showing us how they will make things better things will stay the same.

10. It matters for 2006 in a big way.
Just about every one of these Republican cockroaches have glory photos and comments with good ol' GWB. Remember how much he campaigned for people back in 2002? Well, it's going to come back to haunt them now...

9. His low approval ratings don't matter because he is an extremely popular
president.

:sarcasm:
