They're not going to remove the bodies?
I was just informed that there on the news on BBC last night that the reporter was asking paramedics, soldiers and other officials about removal of the bodies. Every one of them said they weren't going to remove them.

Can this be true?

reason? Like burning down the city. I know this is tinfoil hat sort of (Isn't it)? I'm scared!

5. I think so.
I think they want to rebuild it in such a way that poor people aren't going to be able to afford to live there. New Orleans, what it used to be, won't be the same place.

10. Well I dont know about that.
But I imagine one of their main concerns is sickness and extreme lack of sanitary conditions. That would be my guess.

20. They would not want people to see that some died AFTER the storm.
The slow response had consequences. Some died for lack of water, and their bodies will look much different from those who died earlier in the hurricane. So, a lot of pictures would allow armchair quarterbacks to shout the truth.

If the people, the voting people, see there is a difference while relaxing in front of their TV's, that will be hard to spin. Not impossible, just hard to spin.

3. The bodies will be removed and there's already a place
designated for it. Paramedics and soldiers won't be doing it, I guess. I wonder who lucks out for that gruesome job?

11. A job that every day gets worse.
Another day or two and the tools of the trade are gonna be a pressure sprayer and a snowshovel.

6. I saw the report on BBC myself -- yes, they said that
Though I didn't get the impression the bodies were going to remain there forever. Just that picking up the dead is not even on their to-do list right now, and nobody currently has plans to pick them up. And they showed a LOT of them, all over the place.

7. I don't think so...
The chance for disease would escalate. Plus, Christine Amanpour just did a interview with the mayor of a town that's acting as a morgue. They have a warehouse they're using there to house the bodies.

(They should have the clip up on cnn.com.) The worst part of the clip is a woman who said she was happy that they were getting "bodies, not evacuees"! So much hate... It makes me sick...

8. It's been my suspicion all along
that they would, like any war they want to cover up, go for mass graves.

Makes it a lot harder to count the bodies that way

They can claim disease and toxic waste makes it necessary to raze and burn, cover up, rather than remove the bodies.

Having let this thing get so bad, they'll probably get away with it too. Might have been part of the reason. It really IS that toxic now. It really MIGHT be necessary to raze areas, or at the very least, now they can make a convincing argument for it. They can spin bullshit far better than I can, and if I can think if it and believe it's a possibility, so can they.

This one I was waiting for. Dreading. I just hope I'm completely off-base. Always hoping that.

14. No pictures of the dead...
...if you pick them and deal with them in a dignified way. These people are so incompetent. Maybe Karen Hughes will explain to someoone a good PR move would be to remove the bodies.

19. I just cried when I was watching this program.
Then the BBC commentator showed *'s speech saying handle the deceased with dignity. I thought yeah sure you bet, after they've decomposed so badly and been half eaten by dogs and gators etc. I am just sick to death over this.

That's what I've come to understand about this unelected fraud.
