look at the American Spirit. It made me smile. You hear a few people mentioning some old document called the Constitution.

American's aren't big fans of Authorities pushing them around. I'm not criticizing the NOLA cops, Nat. Guard or military but you have to love the feisty, independent nature of people.

14. An interesting piece

that made me wonder why the city gov't of New Orleans doesn't seem to assert itself more. I guess the pecking order is turned upside down during a state of emergency. Empty French Quarter hotels with power seen to be a real waste.
