I'm declaring Sept. 17th National Get Off Your Ass and Do Something Day
The President declared September 16th to be a national day of prayer for the victims of Katrina. So I'm declaring September 17 National Get Off Your Ass and Do Something Day. Go donate blood. Write a big old check. Adopt an animal who lost his or her family to Katrina. Adopt a family who lost their home to Katrina. Clean out your closets and donate your worn but useable clothes. Conserve energy. Whatever you feel motivated to do that actually involves DOING something, go out and do it on the 17th.
