This was not an innocent mistake. It was done to deliberately invoke and incite racial tensions. I demand accountability for this.

Then, he'll give his "reasonable" explanation for using the term. Most likely, he (or Karl Rove) found a tape of Nagin saying that he wanted to be referred by that name, or a quote from Nagin saying that "Nayger" is what his friends call him.

Rush will have a "good" explanation. Then comes "speech #1", followed instantly by "speech #2".

Rush's "speech #1 is a long tirade about how racist he's NOT. He'll discuss his close friendship with Clarence Thomas and how Walter Williams is a regular sub on his radio program. He'll name name drop a few of his African American friends and coworkers--and then we'll get "Speech #2...."Ya see folks! These libs are LOSING it! I'm tellin ya. In the Spring 2005 reporting period, Rush’s station WIOD-AM has a 2.8 listener share, down a whopping 33% from his 4.2 share in the Fall of 2004. While Rush Limbaugh fans may take solace in the fact that he still maintains a narrow advantage in Florida over the upstart, liberal Air America, one must also consider that he has had a 20 year head start to build a listener base, which is traditionally slow to develop in AM talk radio.

Adding to Rush’s woes, aside from his doctor shopping criminal prosecution, which is still pending, is the fact that the Arbitron statistics are rolling averages that represent data from past ratings periods as well. Thus, for the newly formed Air America Radio to already be posting significant gains in such a short amount of time says a lot about the devotion of its ever-growing listener base. Moreover, the data included in the Spring 2005 Arbitron includes time periods where Air America Radio was off the radar, which overall should skew the data downward and makes their increase to a 2.0 share an understatement.

I know this to be a fact. After a failed spinal fusion I took massive doses of Hydrocodone for two years or so. The ringing in my ears and temporary loss of hearing was the main reason my Pain Management Doctor switched me to Methadone a few years back. I still have some ringing in my ears but the deafness seems to have reversed itself. Add the fact that the massive amounts of Acetaminophen contained in Hydrocodone eat the hell out of your liver and kidneys and you've got a recipe for disaster. I imagine "Rusty" will be moved to the head of the line for any organ replacement procedures thought, given his "celebrity" and wealth.
So I have little sympathy for a man who brought all of this on himself. His "serious" back problems don't seem to prevent him from playing golf, something I used to love to do myself but haven't done since the operation. It's just another example of what a fraud and charlatan this man is.
