What if: Iraqis were "White" and "Christian" ?

since the times right after Christ, when the region was called Mesopotamia.

And, BTW, most Middle Eastern peoples are considered white, even though their skins may be slightly olive-colored. Same goes for Italians, Greeks, Turks, and other Mediterranean-area peoples.

But to answer your question: I doubt that things would be much different. Consider the oil and the geography of the region.

8. Arabs aren't 'White'

I've heard people say that before but it's just crap. First of all there is no such thing as 'race'. Arabs speak a semitic language, which is derived from the Hamito-Semitic family...an African origin family. Lastly, I had white kids attack me a number of times growing up, and have been threatened as an adult on numerous occasions just for my appearance because i'm arab.

Sorry, we're not white.
