How did Brown get his job?

I checked newsmeat for political contributions and it seems Brown gave about a grand to Bush over the last few years.

So sans qualifications and any large overt money giving what did this guy do to get Bush to appoint him?

Was he a "ranger" or "pioneer" funneling massive donations to Bush?

Is he a "Jeff Gannon" type?

There has to be more to this story, there has to be a reason why somebody as unqualified as this guy got appointed FEMA director.

I wonder when the other shoe will drop.

7. More to the point, how did his faked resume slip by the DHS?

How secure are the rest of us if they can't even fact check the resumes of their own employees? Does it bother anyone else that someone very high up in HOMELAND SECURITY (I hate the term) has a resume packed full of lies? What's next?
