Regarding those two pictures of victims of Hurricane Katrina doing what they have to in order to survive. Both pictures feature people wading through chest high flood waters carrying with them food and water they have taken form local grocery stores.

I have someone telling me today "These pictures were taken by different agencies and the reporter(s) did see the black man loot a store and that the white couple grabbed their stuff as it floated by. So in actuality, he did steal it and they did find it. I had to search for that, but my husband found an article on it by CNN confirming there was never any intention of starting a race commentary. Two different people in two different areas just happened to catch the same picture in opposite situations. "

Is there any truth to this?

1. "floating by" my ass. other than that, that's sort-of correct.

the photos had two completely different sources. that was never in question, and it doesn't change a goddamned thing. as for the "floating by" bs? any asshole shameless enough to float THAT lame shit deserves to have his ass kicked inside out.
