It's good, I guess, that Brown is out of the picture. But what now? It really doesn't change much. We need to address the systematic problems with how these people were hired, and push for independent investigations.

5. But Brown IS NOT out of the picture until his ass is FIRED! |
|
He is around to screw up again. Chertoff needs to be fired, and then we can IMPEACH Bush/Cheney. Sorry, just blissful thinking. I am not believing it will actually happen.

Or at least w/out a nice mexican meal and stiff margarita.
Brown needs to be in the unemployment line/Chertoff needs to be in the unemployment line/Bush needs to be in a federal penitentiary.

Remember he was a lead in impeaching Clinton. He is safe. He is a smart guy - but another one with NO security experience. A political choice after Kerik was exposed as a crook and more.
Anyone would have a gargantuan task after Ridge (another politico with little security experience) spent his time and our money on color charts and admin. flow charts not related to reality.
We need Wes Clark, or even Colon Bowel to head Homeland - or James Witt.
Chertoff is out of his element - and no matter how smart - past experience counts.
Unfortunately, now he has "past experience."
