Suppose you learn your mama's dead by seeing her body all rotted away on TV? Those people are someone's mamas or dads, sons, daughters etc. Horrible way to learn of their death.

edit to add: I voted yes in the poll, but I do see another side.

But the bodies probably are not identifiable at this point. Between the heat and the water, those bodies are not human looking.
