2. great
Sorry, I duped your post by posting mine at the same time.

I also suggest that folks go to CNN's website, click on contact Anderson Cooper, and thank him, encourage him to keep it up.

This is huge, CNN is not turning their back on the victims of Bush's neglect/homicide.

5. God Bless These Courageous Reporters. SUPPORT THEM BY WRITING DIRECTLY
to them and to the station. Have to look up how moved Cafferty was when he read the emails from people thanking the stations for reporting the truth.

Brian Williams has two very good recent articles about the police state that still exists in NOLA and that weapons were pointed at him and his team as a threat and that they cannot move around the city or go into the Dome WHERE PEOPLE WERE LOCKED IN LAST WEEK.

Yesterday, the top article was by a woman I never heard of who did happy talk about the evacuees children starting school with a picture of people in Houston Dome looking okay. No mention of the evacuees in Utah who are said to be behind barbed wire.

Has anyone another link for this latest atrocity against the citizens of NOLA?

job of hiding contact links...

Anyone? I'd be happy to write in with my support of this.

Thanks!

29. I'm wondering if we have, in the midst of this NO chaos, reached the magic
TWO KAY/2K number in Iraq/the Stan. We were awfully, horribly close, and no one is focusing on the Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL) battle right now, with the massive death and destruction on our own Gulf coast.

Who will be Mr. or Ms. 2K?? Why does that crap have to continue?

It's agony.

20. I read in MSM and elsewhere that Reuters reporter was taken to
Abu ghraib, Reuters made complaint but US will not tell why he was arrested or when he will be charged or how long he will be held.

Yesterday someone wrote about a major offensive on an Iraqi city like Fallujah, telling people to get out. I cut and pasted but my Word Pad is disorganized now. If anyone has a link to another atrocity like Fallujah ongoing in Iraq now would appreciate a link, the poster had a several paragraphs but I don't think there was a link to the story.

47. I think it is Tal Afar.
http://olympics.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=worldNews&storyID=2005-09-09T223516Z_01_MCC955127_RTRIDST_0_INTERNATIONAL-IRAQ-DC.XML

TAL AFAR, Iraq (Reuters) - U.S. and Iraqi forces heaped pressure on suspected insurgents in the town of Tal Afar on Friday, as Iraq's prime minister vowed to restore order a day after the U.S. military threatened an all-out attack...

...U.S. and Iraqi troops have been battling insurgents there for several days and said they had killed 7 on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Ibrahim Jaafari said the Iraqi government was heeding calls for help by Tal Afar residents and local tribes...

...Lynch warned on Thursday that a U.S attack may be imminent, and that civilians were leaving the town ahead of a possible strike.

"In Tal Afar, coalition forces and members of the Iraqi security forces are preparing a possible military operation to rid that city of insurgents," he told a news briefing.

"If indeed decisive military operations are required, we want to ensure that the attacks ... kill the insurgents without collateral damage in killing innocent civilians," he added.

A U.S. soldier told Reuters by telephone from the outskirts of Tal Afar on Friday that they had not yet moved into the town.

"We're taking care of the refugees. We're bringing them food and water," he said, without giving his name.

The last sentence is ironic.

How many tens of thousands would not have been murdered for their "hidden" agenda (sorry MSM: it wasn't even hidden! HOW MANY TENS OF THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT VICTIMS WOULD HAVE BEEN SAVED IF YOU ONLY DARED TO DO YOUR JOB????

big inside their memory cells somewhere, and make sure that they'll never come to forget that again (by doing their real job: report the true facts as opposed to the GOP catapulted propaganda).

They must never forget: the world (not just the USA) depends on that!

Time (to make sure the human race will not self-exterminate) is running out (and "too little too late" coupled with excuses and "blame games" from the corrupt aristocracies of this world, starting with BushCo & the oil sheiks won't prevent that self-destruction course from happening)!

They have to remember: "This little endangered planet is at stake." repeatedly, and Never Forget! Never Ever Forget.

14. Amy Goodman had two reporters on this morning who were threatened
with guns pointed at their heads while they were trying to photograph and report on the disaster in New Orleans. In the case of one reporter, his camera was ripped out of his hands because he had filmed the beating of a suspect.

http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=05/09/09/1411231

"...I was told in no uncertain terms at gunpoint to get the hell out of the area, and I complied as best I could. But Lucas was caught essentially in the gunfire because New Orleans police pulled up behind him and started shooting over his shoulder. So during the 15-minute or so standoff that ensued, he was taking pictures alongside New Orleans officers as they were caught in the standoff. Now, subsequently, they did get two suspects out of the apartment block where this incident was happening, and while Lucas was shooting, they administered a rather fierce beating on these two guys. And I guess that was the problem.

As soon as they realized that the beating of the suspects was being captured on film, one officer tried to rip the camera off his shoulder. His press tag was ripped off. Eventually, they got one camera and started messing with the camera trying to get the pictures out. Fearful that they were going to ruin his camera, he showed them how to get the images out. His second camera was ripped from his shoulder at that time, and when he asked whether he could get his images back, he was threatened with having his neck broken, had guns pointed at him.

I came back to try to help him. I had guns pointed at me. I was told to turn my car around, stop or I’ll shoot. I had a shotgun pointed at the windshield. So the bottom line is about 350 images that Lucas Oleniuk took will never be seen, and I thought almost equally as important, ripping off his press tag at that point and leaving him out any press accreditation driving around in the city in that situation made him incredibly vulnerable. It was a very dangerous situation. ..."

And another reporter compared the situation in New Orleans to covering the Iraq war:

"...I have to say that both me and the other journalist who was with me, both of us who have covered the Iraq war, this was one of the more frightening situations, because they really—I really had the impression that they were willing to shoot anybody and anything. They were incredibly energized, incredibly amped up, and also that that whole area was very lawless, as was said, but the police had a fear and they were willing to -- really willing to intimidate anybody who was there. ..."

It would be a breeze to murder indescriminantly in NO and even easier to cover it up amongst all that confusion. These reporters are very courageous in trying to get the truth out.

Even Brian Williams has left the reservation - so how do you get the

Hopefully these guys will refuse to go back to the party line.
