From WI it was $98 but went up to $106 because of gas prices. You sleep on the bus coming and going, bring some food, meet some new people... it should be a good time.

10. You should check out air fare....

My wife and I don't have a reliable car so we thought about renting a car. We also looked at buses, and going by air.

Flying was the cheapest way to go. We were shocked. We booked on to United on Aug 27th. I checked the price last weekend and the price had doubled! WE got our tickets just in time. I'm sure bus fare went up as well.

I used to make that trip while in the Navy, and it was 24 hours on I-70 with brief pit stops.
