2. The so called mainstream media needs to address this.
This is astounding and needs some major airing.

3. Contact the LA Times
Edited on Sat Oct-04-03 05:22 PM by Bushfire
if they broke the sex stories, they can break this wide open too. Here are emails of journalists who wrote a story of 3 additional women coming forward today.

Tracy.Weber@latimes.com
Sue.Fox@latimes.com
Megan.Garvey@latimes.com

http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/recall/la-me-cases4oct04-1,1,3896705.story?coll=la-home-headlines

Other LA Times journalists writing about the recall election:

Jenifer.Warren@latimes.com

http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/recall/la-me-sacto4oct04-1,1,6185875.story?coll=la-home-headlines

Faye.Fiore@latimes.com

http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-me-arnoldhomestret4oct04,1,7899221.story?coll=la-headlines-politics

Peter.Nicholas@latimes.com
Gregg.Jones@latimes.com
Michael.Finnegan@latimes.com

http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-me-recall4oct04,1,6879051.story?coll=la-headlines-politics

I would suggest not using Greg Palast's article since it has a partisan slant, but be sure to mention that Consumer Watchdog is non-partisan. They are not endorsing any candidate, or taking sides on the recall effort.

on edit: I tried fixing the email addy for Peter Nicholas, and haven't read the entire pdf yet. If it does not mention the Bustamonte lawsuit, by all means forward the Greg Palast article. We don't have much time left to help break the story.

4. I noticed that Jefferey Katsenberg is among those invited
Jefferey Katsenberg is a partner with Steven Spielberg in DreamWorks SKG. I thought Katsenberg was a liberal and a Democrat?

The Oakland Tribune withdrew its endorsement of Schwarzenegger on Saturday, saying the sexual harassment

9. I don't see Arnie's name on the initial list of people to invite:
Interesting. I wonder how he ended up going -- who brought up his name to invite?

Still reading the emails, so maybe it is apparent.

But if he just suddenly became an invitee, I wonder who got him in the meeting. I mean -- he's rich, but he ain't as influential as the others on the proposed list: Dreamworks, Disney, SunAmerica, Bank of America.

If there were any investigative journalists out there, I bet they would look into that angle. But, alas, there are not, so I will sit here and wonder.

10. No mention of the agenda..... interesting.
I looked over the memo of invited guests and what appears to me as glaringly --- and suspiciously -- absent from the document is the PURPOSE of the CEO meeting. What they all just wanted to get together over drinks at the Hilton?

Did I miss something here?

You don't invite all these folks without some purpose in mind... maybe Lay was trying to flim flam them, too. But Arnold's name is there in the memo, along with other very high rollers.

Most curious!

But could the Nazi and groping stories be out there to take the spotlight off the REAL outrage here, not that the other stories aren't outrageous, but this is BIG. It's easier to fend off the character assaults than this.

12. They very well could be
Is my brain twisting in the wrong direction, or isn't the reason for Davis' recall what the energy crisis did to CA's economy, and thus the budget?

Davis wasn't playing the game Enron wanted him to. Enron needed him out. They plan a meeting and invite Arnold. They discuss what they want. They don't get what they want because Davis is re-elected. This won't do, so they demand a recall, w/Arnold riding in on his robotic white horse...
