Also, any leader worth his salt does not blame the mayor of a major city for a national disaster.

Anyone who doesn't concede the above, is praying for the 'information age' to be succeded by the 'belief age'.

it's about competent government period.

democrats will have to hire bureaucratic engineers to help fix things from aid to africa to improving roads.

we can't have more nafta, clintonian welfare reform, bankruptcy etc.

we have to show everyone -- that the only problem with government not working -- is simply not fixing it in a timely fashion.

one of the great societal diseases of our time is simply not ensuring that government works.

it's past time to end the argument that government doesn't work.
