2. He did let him get away with some horrendous statements...

though he did make him concede the fact that bush sucks during a crisis. What I do not like, is when bill reprimands the crowd when they applaud, and how he does it, as if to dismiss them. It does not sound as if it is too loud to prevent anyone from speaking, though I will admit it probably is much different in the studio. Anyone else feel this way?

He certainly was gung-ho for the Iraq war. I don't know if he has changed his position on that. (?) He is only liberal on some issues, more libertarian on others.

6. Give The Audience Some Credit

Most of us watching despise meester booosh and his regime, the more Glassman spoke, the more of an asshat he and his manchild looked.

Cynthia Tucker of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution was brilliant as usual. She put Glassman in his place several times and when she didn't Carlin smacked him down.

This isn't CNN or Faux...it's HBO...be assured there aren't too many dittoheads who were tuned in. Mahrer sometimes attempts to over pander to the right, but almost always to give them a lot more rope to hang themselves. Glassman was a perfect example.

the RWers on their tactic of shouting down and shouting over everyone even when they arent' on one of "their" shows (Hannity, O'Reilly etc.). Need to point out the simple RUDEness of this, and cut off the Winger when they start doing it.

Hell, even McLaughlin cuts off wingers to make sure the others on his show don't get drowned out, and he's a Repub!

As for Maclaughlin Group, I have always loved that show and he comes out with some surprising answers sometimes. The left is a little weak there, but Eleanor Clift tries her heart out.

17. What was odd is that at a couple of times I thought Glassman

seemed to drop his veneer. First, when he admitted that people died because of Bush and when he had a 30 year flashback, and secondly, how he used to love to read Vonnegut.

One thing anyone could have pointed out to him was that his daughter and her family, because of their affluence, were able to get out of New Orleans. Someone could have asked him if they were now in a shelter.

I thought Maher was kinda of like a heavyweight prizefighting referee who saw one guy getting blugdeoned to death and was tryin to give him air. I wish maher didn't have rwing croonies on his show at all. Do these people really need more air time?
