If Gov Blanco was the problem--then why were troops absent from Miss also?

Seems like Republicans have found a scapegoat in LA Governor Blanco.

They claim she was the reason why our troops weren't in Louisiana.

Oh really?

If Blanco was the reason that troops weren't in LA--shouldn't that mean that troops would have been flowing into Mississippi and Alabama? Last time I checked, she wasn't running either of those states.

Trent Lott, from Mississippi, was livid at the inaction. Haley Barbour, Gov of Mississippi, didn't have any help. Barbour is a conservative Republican, and friend of George Bush. I'm sure he was kow towing to Bush in every possible way. Still, he had no troops either.

Gee----no troops ANYWHERE. However, the Republicans blame Blanco for holding things up.

It only takes a thimble-full of logic to debunk the lies of these thugs.
