Dutch group to fly in temporary mass mortuary (huge!)

-snip-

The US confirmed on Thursday that it is braced for the discovery of more than 10,000 bodies following Hurricane Katrina.

The temporary morgue is capable of holding 10,000 bodies but the US Federal Emergency Management Agency has told De Boer to be ready to increase its capacity to accommodate more fatalities, according to Koos Tesselaar, the company chairman.

“We have been talking to the US authorities daily. It started with a much smaller facility, two days after the event, for 500 bodies, and it was scaled up to 10,000 now,” Mr Tesselaar said. “My feeling is that there might be more needed soon. That is the impression I get from the discussions we have had. They have indicated that we should be prepared to offer more.”

De Boer will begin transporting the 600-tonne structure, which when erected will cover an area of 10,000 to 20,000 sq metres, by air from Ostend Airport, Belgium, on Saturday.

The company is also flying out accommodation to house up to 2,500 people involved in all aspects of the operation, not only those who work in the morgue.

-snip-

The company was recommended to the US authorities by the UK Home Office, which had contracted De Boer to supply the mortuary to deal with the victims of the London terrorist bombings in July that killed more than 50 people. But the Dutch company said the New Orleans aid operation was straining international air-freight logistics. It has hired one aircraft to fly four trips at two-day intervals

1. I think official body counts will be undermined as workers realize that
they don't jive with what they are actually seeing.

7. I think those numbers (
were before CNN obtained the restraining order, enabling the media to report on the body recovery. Before that, no media were allowed, so Bushco would have tried to cover up the actual number. At least that's what I think.

18. Lower death toll reported this morning on 1010 WINS radio.
Same as I've heard was reported on television news.

With the Dutch company coming, and CNN getting first amendment rights, I guess we have a good shot at finding out the truth.

5. My take.
Those rat bastards didn't anticipate CNN taking their skanky asses to court and getting the order to begin with. Didn't figure it into their plans. Bummer! So...they started the spin yesterday- A.M....
IMO, the deathtoll (as heartbreaking as it is) will continue to climb now that the media has DONE THEIR FRICKING JOBS FOR A CHANGE.

Peace.

17. remember 'Funeralgate'? fun homes don't embalm properly; W protects
http://www.austinchronicle.com/issues/vol18/issue45/pols.sci.html

....

Clearly, the politico with the most to lose in Funeralgate is Bush. And he's staying as far from the scandal as he can. But so far, Waltrip has done the governor few favors. By issuing conflicting interrogatory answers, Waltrip appears to have impugned his own credibility as well as the governor's.

So which is it? Did Waltrip talk to Bush about SCI's complaints or not? Either way, the manner in which Bush's office handled this case does not bode well for the governor.

Two weeks ago, Johnnie B. Rogers, SCI's Austin-based lawyer, repeated the claim that Waltrip "never talked to the governor" about the TFSC investigation. Why, then, did SCI's in-house lawyer, Daniel Reat, swear that Waltrip talked to Bush? In a notarized court document, Reat said that the answers in the first interrogatory "are either within his personal knowledge or based on information obtained from other persons, and are true and correct."

And why did Allbaugh get involved? Did he, as Bush's chief of staff, simply make his own decision to intervene on behalf of SCI? Could Allbaugh have been persuaded by a $35,000 political contribution? Allbaugh, who left the governor's office on July 1 to work full time as campaign manager for Bush's presidential campaign, hasn't been deposed yet, but he will be soon. And he will be a key witness when May's case goes to trial, as will Bush's legal counsel, Margaret Wilson.

NOTE role of Allbaugh, W's 1st head of FEMA

19. Note the timing and body counts. Significant.

Before the federal government failed to deliver aid on a timely basis, it was estimated 500 were dead 2 days after the event.

After the federal government's dereliction of duty, the abandonment of the victims, the refusal to allow others to deliver food and water, the estimate is 10,000.

Could the death toll indeed have been 500 had the federal government acted to help the victims?

29. QUESTIONS: a Dutch company makes portable morgues, have

trained personal to staff it, personal to erect it, and personal to erect housing for the personal.

and they can handle over 10,000 bodies.

who knew there was money to be made in portable morgues. do they have competition? were bids sent out. is this Dutch company part of the criminal bushgang?

but back to my original question: america can't handle it's own dead?

really? we are so inept we can't handle our own dead?

31. De Boer:A tent company. Expertise:Exhibitions. Part of energy giant SHV
De Boer Tenten has no background in morgues other than the London Bombings. They are one of the biggest tent suppliers and are used for festivals, exhibitions etc. However something funny happened to the company recently...

Aug 4, 2005: De Boer Tenten bought by the investment groups NPM Capital. (Sorry the only reference are in Dutch, but if you search for it you'll find many stories about this)

So who is NPM Capital? It's a Capital Investment Firm, so we have to dig deeper.

SHV
M.2146 - SHV / NPM CAPITAL

SHV ENERGY
M.1146 - SHV ENERGY / THYSSEN KLÖCKNER RECYCLING (See CECA 1271)

SHV HOLDING
M.3831 - ORANJE-NASSAU GROUP / SHV HOLDING / EDINBURGH OIL & GAS

http://europa.eu.int/comm/competition/mergers/cases/index/by_cy_s.html

Hmm. Thyssen as in. Yes, you've guessed it. The Oranje-Nassau Group is very interesting as well.

So who is SHV?

SHV Holdings:

SHV Holdings is a superheavyweight in Dutch commerce. The firm, which is the largest private company in the Netherlands, has global interests in energy, retail, and raw- material distribution businesses. The company is one of the world's top liquefied petroleum gas companies, and owns US scrap metal company David J. Joseph and German-based metal recycling firm TSR Recycling. SHV also operates the Makro store chain in Asia and South America. The firm is run by chairman Paul Fentener van Vlissingen and controlled by his family, which founded SHV a century ago.

http://biz.yahoo.com/ic/42/42970.html

Fentener van Vlissingen: One of the richest families in the world (#61) collaborated with the nazis during WWII. Part of Fortune 400. Principal owner of ANP (Dutch Associated Press). Part of the Oil & Energy tycoons.

So the morgue is organized by a tent company who also helped in London and was recently purchased (just after their London Bombing contact) by a petrochemical giant owned by a major player in the Oil & Energy field who probably knows the Bush family intimately...

Most of them are Friends of Bush and have a very poor record of dealing with dead bodies. I would much rather put my trust in the Dutch to this job.
