Ben Stein's view concerning Bush and the Hurricane...
I especially like #7, not....

http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=8693

-snip-

7.) George Bush is the least racist President in mind and soul there has ever been and this is shown in his appointments over and over. To say otherwise is scandalously untrue.

Ideologues are all alike. Fuck the facts. Fuck truth. All that matters is the promotion of the ideology.

4. New reality TV show idea: "Ben Stein's Brain Tumor"
That's the only thing I can think of that would cause Ben to write something like that brownlipped article for The Spectator

And Jimmy Kimmel could be the surgeon, or at least dress in drag and be the circulating nurse.

5. Bob Boudelang agrees today!
"What is worst is that some people are calling Our Great President racist just because he stayed on vacation while black people were dying. Amazing! Do those people really think that if he had stopped his vacation and made sure the flood victims got taken care of that they wouldn’t have been inferior?
Our Great President has not got a racist bone in his body, said Ben Stein, and he would know since he is a Jew, which is almost as bad as a blacko-American. "

12. oooo! I can hardly wait for Bob's report on the
Sept. 11th Freedom March. But will he make it to Washington this time, or get sidetracked to another city again?

Looking forward to his next tirade.

10. Ben Stein: Asshole, hard right-winger and big Nader donor...
Edited on Sat Sep-10-05 02:25 PM by KrazyKat
If ever proof is needed that Nader's candidacy became a tool in the hands of the right wing (unwittlingly or otherwise), just look at right-winger Ben Stein's political contributions:
http://www.newsmeat.com/celebrity_political_donations/Ben_Stein.php
$1000 NADER FOR PRESIDENT 2004 GENERAL ELECTION COMMITTEE 10/14/04
$1000 NADER FOR PRESIDENT 2004 GENERAL ELECTION COMMITTEE 09/17/04
$500 NADER FOR PRESIDENT 2004 08/04/04
$250 NADER FOR PRESIDENT 2004 07/24/04
$500 NADER FOR PRESIDENT 2004 03/30/04

These are in addition to his numerous fat contributions to *, Lazio, Pat Buchanan, Fred Thompson, various others and numerous right-wings PACS, including the NATIONAL RIGHT TO LIFE POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE.

11. Stein former Nixon speech writer
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Stein

"Stein began his career as a speechwriter and lawyer for United States President Richard Nixon, and later for President Gerald Ford.

A prodigious writer, Stein has written books on several topics including economics, and is a vocal supporter of the Republican Party. He writes a regular column in the conservative magazine The American Spectator."

And is conservative bona fides run deep.

"Stein is a pro-life activist and was given a Pro-Life Award in 2003 by the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund."

16. I love how these right wing idiots like to get in barbs at Hillary...
even though she has nothing to do with the subject matter. It doesn't matter the argument - it always boils down to Hillary's Health care plan. :eyes:

20. Ben Stein is the reason my husband stopped watching CBS Sunday Morning
after 20 years as a devoted watcher (and our friend's brother is exec producer). Any show that is willing to give air time to this hateful rw kook is not worthy of our time. (too bad they have some great stories, but it's great to have our Sunday mornings free!)
