"Thank God George Bush is President"
Been a while since this shit has been trotted out, uh? I never really understood what he did after 9/11 that was so great. in fact he acted exactly the same as after "Corinna" slow, distant, scared, and clueless.
Stick a fork in him, he's done but I would rather he had been a mere failure rather than spectacular failure, taking the city of New Orleans down with him.

21. Oh, there's a great review in there
If you liked this book, you'll love It Can't Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis, 1984 by George Orwell, and Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler.

I think We should write the sequel to this one: "Screw You, Monkeyboy: Reflections on America's Worst President."

7. The day after the 2004 election....
... I pulled my shit together, wiped my tears and walked into work with my head up.

Everyone knew how hard I worked on that campaign, and how much it meant to me. Most voted for Bush anyway (Kerry lied about Vietnam and he can't keep us safe was the most vocalized reason), but they're friends, and they were kind to me that day.

Except for the Resident Fundie, who couldn't contain his glee. The very second he saw me, a huge smile broke over his face and he said,

"It's God's will, Jennifer. It's God's will that George Bush is president."

I'll never forget the way those words cut me that day.

I'm looking forward to reigniting this conversation with him. Tonight. Just a few more hours, now...

19. God?
The idiotson is closer to the fundy's fabled anti-christ than anyone I've seen in my lifetime.
If there is a god, I'm sure he/she had nothing to do with it.

12. Rudy Guiliani
Remember during his speech at last year's Republican Convention, Rudy Guiliani said he turned to someone and said those exact words "Thank God George Bush is President."

Made me sick to my stomach.

17. The sad thing is, he probably won't ever regret it
He'll go to his grave defending that, and being a Bush apologist.

"At the time, we believed that we would be attacked many more times that day and in the days that followed. Without really thinking, based on just emotion, spontaneous, I grabbed the arm of then Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, and I said to him, "Bernie, thank God George Bush is our president."

-- Rudy Guiliani, at the 2004 Republican Convention
