Faux reporter says that there could be less than 1,000 deaths.
This is the only station i have heard saying this.

Also, if you haven't been watching them, I understand why, but you have been missing some pretty good segments like

Brit Hume saying that a black reverend needs more sleep, after the reverend started slamming the response of the fed gov't. They actually cut away and that was brits response.

Then there was a black man and a white woman complaining about the debit cards and the response, the word Fuck came through loud and clear.

Anyone with half a brain knows the death toll will be more than 1000. Are you sure he really said that? I mean, Fox comes up with some outrageous shit, but this....

5. yes, he did say it. It was that reporter with the blond hair that reports
for them in NO. Sorry I don't know his name, but he is doing a lot of segments.

He also said the French Quarter will be up and running in a couple of weeks.

10. Nagin got 80% of the people out of New Orleans before the storm
Plus there's been a lot of survivors. It is very possible that we could see a relatively low death count. Same thing happened on 9-11. At first they thought that there could be as many as 50,000 casualties. The real number ended up being much, much lower then that.

This is good news for the Mayor and the people of New Orleans.

7. Ah. Symbolism and perception.
Of course it never crossed my mind that they would need this to be under the 9/11 deaths, but I don't think like them.

11. You can't cover up 1000's of dead people from our own country
Too many of them have relatives, neighbors and friends. Some people many never be accounted for, but most of them will be.

19. And that's precisely the reason they wanted to keep the media out.
They're acting like it's Baghdad.

8. That will be 1000 reported deaths
Let first start off by saying that one death in NOLA between Monday afternoon and now is too many and should be grounds for negligent homicide against the government officials responsible for the delay in relief.
Now to the numbers of dead, we all know that now the media can not cover the removal of bodies under the false pretense will allow the most corrupt government to ever fall on this land to cover up all the deaths necessary to limit the damage to their failures.

Out of respect to the dead my ass... This is the same bull shit they pull with the dead soldiers returning from Iraq.

Something stinks here besides the dead bodies... It smells a little like Bu$hshit.

13. you don't order 25,000 body bags for 1,000 corpses.
Sure, they may have over-estimated, but I'd expect the overestimation to be a factor of 2, not 10 or 25. This is complete bullshit.

17. Fox wanted a lot of trophy deaths for the Chimp on September 11th
Fox was celebrating those deaths and tended to use the higher estimates, which were initially about 6,000 and gradually went down. Also, Fox has continued to this day to mention 3,000 dead Americans on 9/11, when at least 500 were not even U.S. citizens.

Now that the Chimp has egg on his face over Katrina, they want it the other way.
