Do Repubs actually believe the response was acceptable
in ANY civilized society?

Do they want to live in a country where that can happen at all?

Even IF State & Local dropped the ball somewhere, is FIVE DAYS acceptable for the Feds to respond to the horrors that were occurring?

Isn't this a FUCKING NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE?

1. Only Bushista's hard right wing base approve.
A solid 60% of America STRONGLY DISAPPROVES of his handling.

2. Some do, some do
it is insane but some will defend them to their dying breaths... the same type that still claim Nixon was great, if you get my drift

3. Most seem to think it was unacceptable
but blame it on the state and local officials for blocking aid

6. Even if that were true (which it isn't)
it would show a frightening inability of the Federal government to 'pick up the pieces' so to speak.

Like I said... "Isn't this a (fucking) National Security issue?"

5. Maher
Edited on Sat Sep-10-05 03:23 PM by tulsakatz
last night on Real Time, Bill Maher made the comment that it is a shame that something like this happened in this country.

There was a conservative on the panel who said he didn't think it was a shame. They're still blaming the local govt.

But even if the local govt is responsible (which I don't believe) how is it NOT a shame?

8. Good question Bill, "How is it not a shame?" The only part
that I see that isn't a "national disgrace" is the part of the AMERICAN PEOPLE have shown up, have given generously, and have gone to work doing what needs to be done there.

People who are defending * are morally reprehensible and spiritually bankrupt. They all have American blood on their hands from New Orleans.

9. They sure do. I just checked the local GOP web page...
.... and it's chock-full of links from GOPUSA to on-line articles that defend Bush and blame the locals.

10. no, they know it wasn't acceptable
they just know that if they vote otherwise on a poll, they are going against the President.
