What IS wrong with walmart anyway?
People keep losing their jobs or get lower paying ones. Surely being able to buy something rather than nothing is a good thing?

Or for the retired?

I dunno. I'm now the evil one because I'm being told walmart is great because they donate. :eyes:

As far as I'm concerned, only fools have short memories. An we're chock full of fools.

Hell, people are piss-tired of career politicians but when REAL people want to come in, they aren't voted for because they - get this shit - lack experience. :wow:

Kill your television. (unless you have a brain and watch only PBS or thought-inducing shows. Anything on these days is mindless pablum or treats you like a parrot.)

1. You can get great "shit" at thrift shops
and places like Goodwill and the Sally (aka Salvation Army). The stuff may be older, but it often is of better quality.

Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without!

Simplify!!

But don't expect me to give up TV, I love my HBO, IFC, BBC and Sundance!

3. I have a closet full of designer clothing from
thrift stores. I love them! They make you realize how high the markup is on clothing.

2. Walmarts were the first stores to open after the hurricane
People were able to get much needed items. Walgreens and CVC were another early responder. And Waffle House! First available restaurant hot food.

I know peeps hate Walmart, but the ones on the coast were very much appreciated for their being open. Plus it was the only place you could get money wired to you using the Money Gram wire services.

4. I don't think WM's quick re-opening
had anything to do with a sense of "community service." Much more likely it was to maintain their $1.2 billion in daily sales.
