I just saw pigs fly AND hell freeze over
Foxnews just had a show on - four journalists discussing Katrina and FEMA and the administration, etc... Not sure what the show is called but they were just blasting anything and everything to do with the Bush Administration, racism in the media about their coverage of looting, cronyism in FEMA, censorship of pictures of the dead, why the media hasn't been more critical of Bush and his administration these past few years....HELL, they even said that the reason that the media has done such a poor job of covering stories like cronyism in the Bush adminstration is because they've been too busy covering stories of missing girls in Aruba.

I am confused and wondering if I'm dreaming. :wtf: This is on FOX news?

3. Were the four journalists in agreement?
Or was this just the token liberal?

4. The journalists were all pretty much
in agreement. All four were tearing the administration a new asshole. Some a bit more than others, but none of them were defending Bush.

It was shocking.

5. I don't give a shit WHAT they say. The Corporate Owned News (CON) has
lost ALL CREDIBILITY with me and millions of Americans. They have allowed this country to be taken over by a bunch of right wing extremists masquerading as conservative Republicans. Not only allowed, they've HELPED them do it! Now we -- including them -- are ALL in danger of our lives and that is no exaggeration. We've already lost one city and are now engaged in a quagmire that is killing people right and left. If they want MY attention they're going to have to do A LOT MORE than just talk about what a bad job "the media" has done covering the FAKE bush pResidency. They have to help bring about AWARENESS AND JUSTICE to these criminals

Short of that, SCREW EVERY ONE OF THEM!

7. See, the thing is,
we have all been trained to not watch them any more. WE did not watch them too much before. Now, those who liked what they heard then, aren't listening. Cause they're busy. They know what's going on, they trust the gov't. They're tired of hearing all about the suffering, so no one is watching that news, 'cept us. Bottom $$, absolutely.

10. Maybe it's because Bush's undeniably poor response to Katrina...
has just plain woken everyone up out of their post-9/11 slumber, and now they're asking questions about *everything* this administration has done. And with their new POV, they're not liking what they're seeing.

Better late than never.

11. Have you eaten any shitty tasting mushrooms?
Did you take any weird candy from strangers?

Have you ever hallucinated before?

Did you notice any deja vu effects before the phenomenon you witnessed occurred?

Is the any evidence of an Einstein-Rosen Bridge near your T.V.?

Has Rupert Murdoch suddenly died?

We need a reasonable explanation for this.

15. It's their version of 'reality show'
Edited on Sat Sep-10-05 06:46 PM by Lexingtonian
You know, a show on which they all have to talk about reality.

The rule is that the one who tells the most about about it, i.e. gets the most Koolaid drinkers into cog dissonance in the process, gets voted off at the end.

And the Koolaid drinkers are getting increasingly fragile these days. You know, hard support for retaining Roe v Wade or leaving Iraq soon both moving over 50% is just rough to bear.

17. Maybe there's been a coup and the junta's taken over the state media.
That's the sort of thing that happens in other third world countries. Watch for the martial music and long running photographs of flags flying.

There are few things as third world as Fox News.

20. It's the numbers, baby
The consensus in America is bush f'ed up. I've spoken to people in the past week who were blasting FOX for not covering what the rest of the media was. They are now FORMER FOX viewers.

FOX must have done a poll of it's viewers and found out they better start tossing them a wee bit of truth before they all bail.

21. I'll bet it's "Fox News Watch" - They have Jane Hall on there
Edited on Sat Sep-10-05 07:04 PM by kerry-is-my-prez
Jane Hall and another person who seeems to be quite reasonable. I have seen them rip up the media (including Fox News) for being too pro-Bush a few times and was quite surprised. I watch it every once in a while just to see Jane Hall. It almost like you can't believe that this show is on Fox.

This is who else is on there: Eric Burns, Jim Pinkerton of Newsday,
Cal Thomas (who's a total tool), Neal Gabler, media writer and author.
