Reality vs Unreality....
According to Republicans, there are always two sides to every story. Some have estimated that perhaps 10,000 people have drowned in New Orleans. Republicans say it's not as bad as people thought because less than 10,000 people may have drowned. Some say it appears we have rescued most of the people still alive. Dick Cheney says we are now on top of the situation in New Orleans. And the Iraqi insurgents are in their last throes.

They don't really create their own "reality" as they have bragged. They only lie about the reality that everyone is experiencing. For example, we are now running the largest deficits in the history of the world. Repblicans say, but as a share of GDP, it's not really that big. As if the two were in any way interconnected in any way?? You say two-thousand troops have died in the bloody war in Iraq. They say that many people have died on our highways in accidents. How do you counter such unreality except with the truth?

1. There are very few "truths"
Hunger, thirst, the sex drive, eating, shitting, pain, birth, death -- those are the only real truths. Everything else is narrative. The neocons know this. It would behoove everyone else to get a clue.

The GOP is about the raw exercise of power. Those who have the power, manipulate the language, create the binaries (good/not good) and write the narratives of "truth." It's been this way, forever.

The question we should ask is where language takes us, in regard to the physical truths, above -- who is hungry? Who is thirsty? Who is born? Who dies?

Now, like the other couple hundred million zombies, I must go back to shopping ring tones, now.

2. Republicans don't deal with facts
they create illusions and distractions. In fact, I think they'd rather not have anyone see a true picture of what is happening because if we knew what they were really up to, they never would have been elected in the first place!
