1. They'll switch as soon as the new conservative leader steps up.

There will be a decision at the highest levels of the GOP.

Bush is a lame duck.
They need to pick the next guy.
Bush doesn't do anything, so could easily be sacrificed.

They take him out, Cheney ascends, appoints Frist/Delay/Satan.
Cheney leaves for health reasons.

Frist/Delay/Satan ascends to President, and is now the incumbent in 2008.

Once the decisions are made, Fox will go nuts, tearing him down. They'll give full airtime to the new guy, and off they go.

incredibly, they're still the #1 News Network. There will always be that 40% or so that agrees with the neo-con agenda. Even if they turn against the Dimwit in Chief, they'll remain loyal to the "cause" It's "their" channel, it belongs to them, says all the things they want to hear and will continue to do so. There is nothing, in my opinion, that could change that.

They are guaranteed a large chunck of the viewing audience because 38% of Americans are mindless right wingers. Another 14% are almost as pathetic. They'll always choose Faux.
