"For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind..."
I'm not religious, but have read the Bible, and it's full of pithy quotes such as this one...can there possibly be a better commentary on what bushyboy and company are facing?

Stand by to reap what you have sown, you cynical sons of bitches in Washington; the Wheel of Karma is about to roll over you (if I may mix religious metaphors here).

I feel a change in the wind.

1. We are seeing the fruition of Ronald Reagan's philosophy
Rich = good. Poor = evil.

Just the opposite of Christ's philosophy.

2. Taken to an extreme that even Reagan wouldn't recognize.
Not that he could recognize even his reflection in the mirror...

(I'm not being cruel to people with Alzheimer's here; just commenting that it was pretty disgraceful that we had a President who didn't even know where he was for the last three years in office, and nobody cared.)

3. You don't have to be religious to know that the Bible is full of wisdom...
There are lessons of time that we should never forget.

4. Agreed. There are many ancient texts filled with wisdom that prove
that we never learn.. history will repeat itself. :(

5. The right has been planning this for 30 years.
Now that they are in power what have they done?

We got attacked on 9-11.

We had Osama on the run in Afghanistan and hen took our eyes off the prize.

We diverted to Iraq for WMD's that did not exist.

We re-organized the federal government so that we are not even safe from a predicted act of nature?

De-fanged FEMA.

Forgot about giving a hand up to those not born with a silver
credit card in their mouth.

Cut spending for veterans.

Underpay active duty troops.

Use a back door draft to recall reservists, over and over. Stop loss for troops keeping them in combat zones for too long.

They had thirty years of planning. They have had 7 years in power.

It is time for regular Americans, patriotic, hard working, law abiding, tolerant, environmentally conscious, to heal the artificial divisions and come together as one people.

This is best nation on earth, the promise is fantastic, we have to live up to it.

We the people....

7. Hosea 8:7
I wouldn't take this too far. The book of Hosea is largely about the Israelites turning away from God and to Baal, the God of "Fertility" and then back to God again.
