Real Time is KILLER tonight!
Edited on Sat Sep-10-05 11:32 PM by BloodyWilliam
George Carlin (I fucking LOVE him) talking about the fascist pigs, everyone bit the single Heritage clone twit addressing the class/race discrimination elephant in the room, and a brilliant quote from Bill Maher, "After 9/11 I was an American. Now I'm back to being black."

Anyone else watching?

Oh, and the woman in the middle, from the Atlantic? As eloquent and brilliant as Jon Stewart.

1. Saw it Friday night when it originally ran. I agree. It was pretty good.
His closing monologue was really good, too.

6. LOL Acutally it comes on right after Battlestar Galactica
I have to tape the whole line up from Sci-fi on Fridays for hubby, and this week, I just switched it over to HBO and taped Maher too.

It comes on at 11 pm, after the space travel shows are over!!!

:toast: :toast:

3. Yes it was.
The debate is SO much stronger and THOUGHTFUL when it is dominated by “libruls.” I know that Bill wants to appeal to a larger audience, but he still can’t help himself. That’s why we end up with the fool that tries to defend the * administration. By my view it is ALL indefensible. Bill Maher gives them the rope to hang themselves.

Glad you could catch it on replay.

It was a really great show. The younger white guy really got on my nerves and I'm glad there wasn't another republican there.

7. Managed to catch this on a download
It was one of the best ever. Someone yesterday said if you don't see it get a transcript. Well I disagree, the faces George Carlin was making every time the freep talked were killing me. They must be seen.
The look on the freeps face when he asked Carlin what he thought about theft and Carlin said "Doesn't bother me. I have no stake in the outcome" was priceless. Carlin was on fire. They should start to call him Daredevil, for he truly is the man with no fear. Bill Maher read the Babs Bush quote, you know the one, and Carlin replied "Yeah I call her the Silver Douchbag. OMG I almost had a heart attack. He called the POTUS's mother a douchbag on TV. It was truly satisfying.

9. All bets are off!
This show was incredible. Carlin and Maher were unreal. Carlin called Bush a criminal (which, as we all know, * is). Carlin was absolutely fearless and he tore the wingnut to shreds. The lady was great too...and OMG....Maher's new rules at the end, "The President needs to be recalled." I love it!!!! Maher's little speech at the end was hysterical. He starts off with (addressing *)"This can't be fun for you anymore...." and goes on from there. One of the best ones ever, imho.

8. I agree, good episode.....
Someone was complaining last night on DU that Bill was giving to much time to the conservative panelist. The guy did talk quite a bit, but I truly think everyone was fascinated with this guys bullshit. Bill Maher looked like it could not believe what this guy was saying. Some people do not give Maher a break. If he does not pick up the conservative guests by their throats and personally crucifies them on live tv, then he is "obviously pandering to the right." Bill is on our side most of the time.

12. The guy was from conservative think tank
the AEI. American Enterprise Institute. Carlin ignored him for the hack he was.

He did take up a lot of air time. But, it was a good discussion and Bill was hilarious at times.

Kurt Vonnegut was rather disgusted with the human race, I noted.
