13. I'm no rocket scientist.
However, I DO know that when an argument reduces to counting numbers or counting words, the counters are usually without a resource except counting.

I am thinking of the movie "Brazil." They did a lot of counting there.

8. 2001 LSU Hurricane Center Study
Predicted that about 25% of the people of NOLA would not comply with evac. orders.

They specifically said that buses would not be sufficient to evacuate people and would need NG help.

Mayor Nagin did a decent job in getting peole over to the planned shelter of last resort.

NOLA death toll is low, lower than Miss. So he did do his best.

The problem came after the flooding. When we needed NG and troops to evac. hospitals and bring food and water and rescue to the Sdome and Con center.

11. Mayor Nagin said they were used and were flooded after returning.
Heard him today.

Besides, they should have just been able to walk across the bridge to Gretna but some local racist cops stopped that. Guess they had maximum authority. What a pathetic mess.

14. Paritcan? I can give you a non-partisan answer
Mayors have no authority beyond their own city borders. The busses DID run for as long as possible for those who wanted to reach the shelters.

Next question?

15. Okay, lets say, they did used all the buses to resecue people...
Where the HELL would they all suppose to go??? Dome was full, all the shutter was full. You can't just drop of 100,000 people off on the street and leave them there? This doesn't take brainer to figure this out.
