THANK GOD for uncensored television. Last week it brought into the living rooms of millions of Americans the devastation that Hurricane Katrina wrought on the impoverished people of the Gulf Coast.

I wondered what our reaction would have been if our TV networks had been allowed to show the coffins of young soldiers coming home night after night after the war in Iraq started? What would we do if we were allowed to see the devastation from the street level and witness what our bombs were doing to the poor people of Iraq? Would we ask our president, is this war for oil worth it? Is war worth it?

1. And what if TV was REALLY uncensored and we saw how federal agents

BLOCKED and and relief and penned thousands of people into the Dome and the Convention Center without food or water and "forgot" about them?

What if we saw how the dead bodies are STILL lying there, being eaten by animals?

What if we saw how desperate people, days after the storm, were turned away at gunpoint from a more affluent community and forced back into New Orleans to die because they are of the wrong class?

Oh, the truth is MUCH MUCH worse than the worst we are seeing on TV. What if we saw THAT?

I'm glad to see this LTTE printed, but I think the people of this country have no idea of the horror that has been and is continuing to unfold.
